Translate Page To English With the Google Toolbar

I stumbled upon an interesting article one time but it was not written in English. Since I really wanted to understand the article, I clicked the arrow in the Translate button of the Google Toolbar, and chose ‘Translate Page Into English‘. In just a few seconds the page was translated into English.

I certainly don’t know when will I see an interesting foreign page again. But at least, when it happens I have my Translate button sitting in my Google Toolbar.

Also with the translate feature, I can ask Google to translate English words to a language of my choice—just for fun. I will just click the Translate icon and enable the WordTranslator. When it is enabled I can simply hover the cursor to a specific word that I want to be translated. This might be more helpful if I am learning a foreign language like Spanish or Italian. But actually I should choose Korean instead since I am learning the language. Now I can learn Korean words while browsing.

But enabling the WordTranslator feature would be best for non-English speaking surfers. If they have found an English word that they are not familiar of, all they have to do is hover the cursor in that word and Google will translate it to their language. To choose a language:

  • click the Settings in the right corner of Google Toolbar
  • choose Options and the Google Toolbar Options will appear
  • then click ‘Translator Settings’, and choose a language

Aside from translating a page, Google Toolbar has a lot of features like the Autofill, and the SpellCheck.
