Great User Experience with Google Dashboard
When I stumble upon Google Dashboard today, I decided to take a peek of what this stuff is all about. So, what is Google Dashboard all about?
The Dashboard provides a summary of the data in all Google products you use. To find Dashboard, you need to sign in to one of the many Google products. Then, you go to settings located on the upper right corner of your Google page. Click Google account settings. You will be taken to your Google accounts page. Under Personal Settings, you will see Dashboard. Click “View data stored with this account.” Now, you will see the different accounts associated with each Google product that you use. The Dashboard simply offers you a concise and organized view of the data associated with your account in one location. With Google’s emphasis on transparency, choice and control, you as the user, can easily locate all your accounts and go to any Google product that you desire because of the direct links available for you to control your personal settings.
Now, Google Dashboard covers around 20 products and services, including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Web History, Orkut, YouTube, Picasa, Talk, Reader, Alerts, Latitude and a lot more. Next in line will be other services such as SideWiki, Google Groups and Checkout.
