This rumor has been going on for weeks already, and it seemed that most web buffs are thrilled just by thinking the odds of Google using the Office 2.0 Conference in San Francisco to launch Google Wiki.

At the time this post is published, it is already the last day of the said conference, which started September 5. So far, I have read this recent article from PC World stating that Google only confirmed “a new presentation tool is on the way”. Many web enthusiasts agreed that there is a big possibility Google will launch the Google Wiki in the conference since it is the most suitable place to create a buzz this time. But a Google spokeswoman said:

“We will be adding presentation-sharing capabilities as a feature to Google Docs & Spreadsheets, but we have no specific plans to announce at this time.” (Source: PC World’s Google, Others Gear Up to Introduce Office Apps)

Oh well, if it is not in the conference that Google will launch their new app, we can still be rest assured that it will happen in the near future. Besides, it has been almost a year that Google had acquired Jotspot, the company that developed the wiki technology. In that span of time, Google has been busy integrating wiki to their services.
