Breaking the Barriers through Google Translator

I was looking for hotels and restaurants in Saudi Arabia and I found it frustrating that their websites were written in Arabic. Good thing there was the Google Translator. Google Translator is now making Google’s goal a reality.

One main problem we encounter in this world is the language barrier. The same is true on the World Wide Web. This is an obstacle that many search engines want to overcome in order to provide information across all countries. Then came the Google Translator that makes our lives very easy. At first I thought that it only translates words from other language. I never thought that it could even read and translate Arabic words and convert them to the alphabets we do understand. Isn’t that amazing. Yes, I tried it on the Arabic phrases I found on the website. I don’t know how to read Arabic so I wouldn’t know if they were correct but the translated sentences made sense. It was really cool.

  4. I am using it for Russian right now. It is pretty much broken English, but you can get some sort of idea what they are saying. Google says it is in Beta and I believe it. But still pretty handy.

One thing I noticed was that the upper frame disappears — they have another way of displaying the translated pages. There is even that nagging little “Suggest a translation” box that pops up when you move your mouse over words — kind of irritating.
