Google Chrome has been out for a year and it is the fourth most popular web browser in usage share. Google designed the browser to be simple and easy to use. The Graphic user interface is minimalist with few clutters and refreshing layout. Like all of its contemporaries, it is a tabbed browser so changing website is fast and has added a twist of its own as its tab is independent from another tab.

Some people find it user friendly. For example, you can navigate and search the web from the same box. As you type in the Address / Search Bar the letter of the item you want to search, a dropdown bar pops with some suggestions and you can click your desired website.  Although, there are users who find this confusing because they are used to searching topics in a separate Search Box.

The Chrome has much space for the actual web content and it loads webpage faster in some independent reviews. Another feature that many internet users like about Chrome is the adoptive homepage. It lists your frequent visited website in thumbnails or in a list so all you can do is to select and click.

Security is beef up in this browser. It updates itself regularly to prevent phishing and malware attack. It also warns user about harmful websites that you want to visit. It has also some complex security feature that prevents malware in installing itself. A private browsing is also present in what Google calls Incognito mode. In this mode, after you close your browser, all traces like cookies or information history is deleted. One excellent feature of this browser is the download interface. It is also clean and minimalist.

Google Chrome is still in its infancy stage unlike other dominant browsers such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. It is not perfect, but I think that the future looks bright with regards to this browser.
